During the workshop, you’ll create a unique flower pot. Inspired by the surreal atmosphere of Brussels, your pot might have legs—or it might turn into some mysterious creature.
Once the pieces are formed, everyone will decorate their work using ceramic paints- engobes. By the end of the workshop, each participant will have created a unique ceramic piece ready to be fired in the studio kiln.No previous experience with clay is needed. The atmosphere is relaxed, welcoming, and designed to give space for creativity, conversation, and the simple pleasure of making something by hand. The workshop is led by Belgian artist Julia Kushnarenko in her studio Plombir in the heart of Brussels. Julia has been working with clay for over six years and is constantly developing her practice. She enjoys combining different media in her work, such as film and performance, and integrating ceramic elements into them. The pieces that you create will be ready in 4-5 weeks, because they need to pass 2 fires, being food safe.Your ticket includes:
